About Project
This project required erosion and pollution control due to the proximity of the work taking place to the waterways. The site was cleared and grubbed. Once complete, the site was surveyed and staked. Significant rock removal was required in order to facilitate installation of a boat ramp. CMP’s were installed following the completion of the rock removal. A significant coffer dam was installed to dewater the area for the boat ramp. Once water was
removed, the boat ramp was prepared and gravel was placed as needed, compacted and tested to confirm quality requirements were met. Concrete forms were then installed and inspected to confirm quality. During this
phase, safety assurances were important while working around the active coffer dam. Concrete was then poured and tested to confirm all break tests were passed. The coffer dam was then removed and the boat ramp area was flooded. Gravel base courses were installed and compaction in preparation for concrete and asphalt. All concrete and
asphalt was tested to ensure quality and that it complied with the specifications. Parking stops and signs were installed then all parking lot marking were painted. Pre-fabricated boat docks were then installed to complete
the project. Safety while working over water installing the docks was paramount.
